The Tangram puzzle book is based on the classic Tangram puzzle, which is an ancient Chinese dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, that are put together to form a square. Here’s how to play:

  The seven pieces include:
    - 2 large triangles
    - 1 medium triangle
    - 2 small triangles
    - 1 square
    - 1 parallelogram

The puzzle book provides silhouettes or outlines of shapes that you must recreate using all seven pieces without overlapping any of them.

Place the shapes on a flat surface and try to arrange them to match the silhouette in the book. All seven pieces must be used, and they should fit together perfectly without any gaps.
